Big day - We can do this

Postby Johnny Rotten » Sat May 06, 2017 7:16 am

Yes there are a variety of permutations ahead of today's kick offs but lets do our bit and pick up a win. Get an early goal and set shivers across other League Two grounds and put the pressure on them

Get behind them should you be going and be the 12th man (or woman)

I firmly believe it is realistic we can sneak it and the outcomes needed are not pie in the sky

Even if we don't make it into the top seven to even still be in and around it since SEs appt is has been great

After looking through the fixtures, I think we'll win and finish 8th. And I reckon that'll be about right; we've been decent without being quite good enough.

There's just too much to have to go for us.

I had an accumulator at the beginning of the season: Spurs to get in Premier top 4, Sheffield Wednesday, Bradford, Mansfield and Lincoln to finish in their respective promotion/play-off places - £5 at 168/1. Disappointing.

Plus, I think that we have to go for goals. Stevenage are 3 goals better off than us: a draw for them and we need to win by 4 to get ahead of them.

One of the biggest fixtures for us today is the Wycombe v Cambridge game. If either one of those win that it will basically be an impossible task to get in. Our most realistic chance would be the below, accepting that likelihood is Leyton Orient aren't good enough to go to Blackpool and get something;

Colchester draw with Yeovil
Exeter beat Carlisle
Mansfield beat Crawley
Accrington beat Stevenage.
Wycombe and Cambridge draw.

That would see us sit in 7th at the end of the day. Let's hope for a miracle!

That combination of results as an acca on B365 is 300/1....I think that tells you all you need to know.

Stranger things have happened however so might put a sneaky £1 on it!

I hope we do win and the results go our way, but in reality we had our chance and we blew it.It was a graet effort to get that opportunity .We just weren't good enough to take it. I will still have my fingers crossed. I just want SE and JR to carry on the great work together.COYS !!!

Is there one? I don't know

As you'll see from my signature I no longer get involved. For the time and effort I've put into it previously with personal abuse and sarcasm aimed at me I decided it wasn't worth it

For those who have supported me previously apologies and thank you
