If it doesn't work out for them there, would not be a massive shock to see roles reversed and the two of them as the management team here at some point in the future.

This is the sort of post Murray should have gone for, he needs to work under an experienced manager and learn.

According to Wikipedia he's not lasted any longer than a year at any club when manager

Looking at his Wiki page, that was a highly successful game on loan at Doncaster. Surprised I wasn't aware of his time in charge of Man Utd too...

And yet, based on his current skills we would have learned nothing if we sign him in a few years. Let's hope he can really progress.
