I don't like to criticise refs as it's a bloody hard job but that was as awful a decision as you're likely to see.

Cook conducted himself excellently today IMO, many a time i have been critical of him but today isn't one of them days. He joined in with the minutes applause which was a classy touch, cried with laughter when his player hit thin air and fell over and his post match interview re the red card that should have been given was honest and open.

Thought Pompey were excellent.

Cook always comes off as a class act, and he was bluntly honest about that awful decision.

It helps that he's cleansed himself in the sheep dip mind.

I can seem him taking portsmouth high up league one and then one day when were in league one id like him to come here when someone else takes them back to the championship and beyond.

He may of managed chesterfield but he couldn't wait to leave and he always seems to be a very decent bloke and top manager.

Top manager, and a great character.

Used to be out in Chesterfield getting wasted most weekends and had everyone laughing their heads off with his banter and honesty.

The only four people in the ground who thought it wasn't a red were the ref and his buddies.

Would he have been so honest about it if they were not already up?

And some would-be idiot ref in the QLE who kept banging on to some guy it was not a red because Rose had lost control of the ball. You are an idiot young man. Make yourself known.

We all know that refereeing is a thankless task. But it's got to be really hard when you've got no balls, like Saturday's official.

Referees are arrogant and give the impression only they know the rules and fans are biased and clueless. How did he not issue a red card. Unbelievable. I would love to know what he was actually thinking. He is either incompetent or a cheat.

Maybe the decision would have been easier if Rose didn't go down so easily, so often - sometimes I cringe at his attempts to con the officials, having said that it is part of the game unfortunately.
