He didn't sound 100% convincing that he would be manager next season. Did anyone else get that feeling following his radio interview?

From what others have said, Evans said that if the radfords didn't match evans' ambition then he wouldn't be manager... i think

Maybe but surely we don't want to be switching manager just when we seem to really have turned a corner. It just struck me from the interview that he wasn't 100% committed. Maybe he was just down after the result.

He wasn't probably just fuming that his players can't stick the ball in the net and another terrible referee decision has gone against us.

I am sure he will be here next season

Oh no!

SE looked a bit distanced today from the action now the issue has been raised.

PR seemed a bit more up for it from where I sat.

Hope Steve, as I have said on a previous post, has unfinished business to do with MTFC.

I'm sure he is disappointed and hurt after todays result but fans are hurt also.

If he jumps ship at the end of this season, then everything he's said about sharing the owners' ambitions and vision for the club is just bullcrap.

If JR gives him a fair and realistic budget that goes some way to meeting his expectations he will still be here.

Lets be honest if you owned the club and had a reasonable cash request available you'd provide evans with the funds given what he's shown he can do the last few month's.

Ball really is in JR's court and these discussions will take place behind close doors. I think today was a big test, not in the team but in the mansfield public to see if when called upon they answer the call and if the appetite for a successful club exists.

Its not a club but a brand being built here, JR / CR said it themselves people will only come if value for money is on offer and that means a successful team pushing / achieving promotion with entertainment included.

He's probably naffed off that another incredibly bad referee's decision has cost us points.

I've just watched the interview back on stags player.

He looked very passionate and said nothing to indicate he might leave.

He said if we are in league 2 or League 1 it will be with many new faces. Thats an indication that he is already planning for next season

He gave 2 interviews. I think the doubts arose during the BBC interview rather than radi Mansfield interview

Greenies days are well and truly numbered and rightly so.

To think people were saying he was worth 500k plus 6 months ago!

some proper digs at murray in here! he really doesn't hold back

he is bang on about referees too, no one wants to do it, its a really hard job, but a lot of them are still not good enough at this level as we see week after week after week and they seemingly dont know the rules/and or buy into players antics... i.e reuben reid who i have seen fall over since our game to win exeter a late penalty to win the game... but what can we do about it? stick the bloody ball in the net so we dont have to rely on not getting shafted by refs

What a superb interview.
I love this guy and think at times we don't realise how lucky we are to have him as our manager.

We will go up next year no doubt in my mind........but we could still sneak it this year

I think he's just fed up at having players that can't find the net and dodgy decisions today.
