It looks to me as if it isn't an MTFC run event, just the 1861 suite hosting it.

An Audience with Alan Shearer
Alan Shearer, Newcastle's and the Premier League's record goal scorer and Superstar Speakers are hosting 'An Audience with Alan Shearer'
Shearer scored 283 league goals in his career, including a record 260 in the Premier League and a total of 422 in all competitions including international at all levels, including the one that knocked MTFC out of the F.A.Cup. Shearer appeared 63 times for his country and scored 30 goals.

This exclusive event will be held at The One Call Stadium's 1861 Suite and Quarry Lane Stand, Mansfield and there is a ticket for every budget.

Absolutely no interest in going to listen to an arrogant idiot he talks a load of twaddle.

Brilliant striker he was, an awful pundit.

I have just found the videotape for the FA Cup tie between Newcastle United and the Stags. Shearer equalled Jackie Milburn's scoring record for Newcastle in that game. However, in the interview on Match of the Day he was quick to point out that he hoped mention of his record would not overshadow what he saw as a great Mansfield performance and was full of praise for the Stags. In my eyes, he gained a lot of respect that day.

This is not an event being run by Paul Nyland and MTFC. I enquired last week as i was going to book a table for some customers i deal with. Having spoken to Paul the company running the event have hired the 1861 Suite and part of the ground from the club. Apparently theyre using the QLE seating for part of the event and putting a stage in front of the stand.

They're advertising An Evening With Alan Shearer, at Wonk Hall, Mansfield, in Newcastle?

Now you're talking. I'd pay £50 to watch that.

I fear there may be a long queue. I'd have to get PC Gabbitas in to manage the risk.
