Perspective

Without Steve and Paul we'd be fighting relegation

Here's to next season

Go up as champions

Got what we deserved based on the second half performance.

Some players looked disinterested.

Why do people keep saying 'we'll go up as Champions next year'? Some people seriously need to manage their expectations!
Naturally, I want and hope that we will get promotion next year ... but I certainly don't expect it. I expect us to be challenging for promotion, but there are no gauruntees in football.

But yes, keeping things in perspective - It's still a good time to be a Stags Fan! And I feel postive about the future - whatever that may bring ;)

Simples.

Next target is to go to Donny Rovers next week and ruin their promotion party.
Anything other than a defeat for them will see them promoted.
The last time we did something like this was Huddersfield Away i believe, and look how that worked out.

Plenty of twists and turns left in this season yet.

You don't sound positive.

All part of the roller coaster ride. Only 4 points off with games against Luton and Stevenage to come, but lose on Saturday and there are 4 teams that can go above us - then it starts to look difficult. Win though, and we're right back in it with big games to come.

It needs more time.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

Yeah I remember the Huddersfield 0-3 Stags game ha ha.
Also remember the PNE 0-5 Stags.
We were already down, and the senior Copper asked George Foster if Stags would be doing
A lap of honor? As Preston would be doing one to celebrate staying up.
George said why would we do a lap of honor to celebrate relegation???.

After we wooped their bums 5-0. ( they didn't do a lap of honor)
Is all they had to do is beat Champions Elect Bolton Wanderers to stay up.
They lost, and came down With us :hysteria: :hysteria: :hysteria:
we're gunna need a bigger boat.

It was 1-5 I think mate. They scored first, missed a penalty and then we battered 'em

You are right tilly, yesterday does not bode well for the games coming up against the clubs we have to play.
In all honesty we are not quite at the races. Our last two wins were against teams woefully out of form. Morecambe lost their 7th straight yesterday and but for a bit of a purple patch in Feb would be fighting Newport to stop up (I expect them to really struggle next season).
71 points means over 2 points a game now, a bridge too far? A job well done for me would be the 65/66 point mark to eclipse AM's total.
