In the last two games, the opposition have had 7 shots in total & we've conceded 4 goals.

Meanwhile, at the other end in those two games we've had an incredible 31 shots without scoring.

I find that stat pretty hard to swallow, but it shows again where the issues are.

You just know it'll all fall into place for just one game & someone will get hammered.

Should of let Greeny go when we had the offer. He won't be here next season anyway.

We've not scored many or won many if it comes to that since SE publicly said if players are going to play like division 2 players that's were they'll stay

SE looked down on Saturday and he said then that it was his first time he'd felt low since arriving here. But his post match interview on Stags Player tonight is even worse. You can see in his face that he's seriously fed up (!) :(

He speaks of never seeing a team miss so many chances in his whole career. That he's lost his trust in some players. He's puting a "Wanted: Striker" poster up outside his house. Players aren't good enough and he's pulling (what's left of) his hair out.

He's given us all a massive lift though. He's shaken em up and we had a great run for a time. But we've hit a slump now and thats gone on as long as the good run lasted -no goals in 4. He's tried every permutation of players available and it's just not worked out. So it's my opinion that as it stands now that the transfer window just can't come quick enough.

He's had to juggle with what he was given and had a january window but we've fallen short. That's in no way a bad reflection of him as it was always a massive ask. What he needs now is the continued support of JR with the summer to work his magic in the transfer market and a full pre-season.

I hope i'm not speaking out of turn in saying that as supporters we're all prepared to do our bit too and that we're right behind the management team and players to remedy the situation.

And in the meantime we don't get too low.

"Not got a goal scorer in the squad." Pretty damning by his own admission.

He obviously has now lost faith in all the strikers including the one he brought in, where does he go from here?

Because we did. You obviously weren't there.

The finishing of our strike force is on par with Sunday League, especially Green who missed 2 golden chances last night. As Evans said Colchester didn't get out their own half in the 2nd half. It's the same old story, you don't take your chances and you don't win football matches, sadly it was exactly the same last night against an average Colchester side.

He gives one of the YT's a shot on Sat!! As I say if they don't score they'll have done no worse, if they do then great. From day one of the season it was evident Green, Hoban, Rose etc were average.

Evo's alluded to the fact that the team he inherited from Muzza was simply not good enough and staring a relegation scrap squarely in the face. He's done all I wanted from him this term and preserved out hard won Lge status with games to spare. Next year is the time when he'll get judged, t'will be his team then.

I expect Hoban to be back in the squad for the next game. I think Green will be on the bench.

I can understand why Steve Evans and JR must be tearing their hair out. Colchester were there for the taking last night after their home defeat by Pompey. Greeny should have put us 1-0 up. Then Colchester's two best players score two goals from two attacks. The second goal was soft though. Szmodics was given too much time and space. We then battered them in the 2nd half and had at least six good chances to score. The Colchester defenders just threw their bodies in the way of everything and blocked and cleared shots off the line. They gave the MOM to George Elokobi who is their big centre half who used to play for Wolves. He's won it four games in a row.

We should have had ten points from the last four games but ended up with two. We are playing well but not sticking our chances away. Perhaps we need to give Arquin or young Zayn Hakeem a chance up front; or stick a big centre half up there.

I still think give zayn a chance. Saturday should be a cracker, we haven't scored in 4 and Carlisle haven't scored in the last 5, so a 4-4 draw is on the cards.
