Season Over

Postby die hirsche » Sat Mar 04, 2017 5:52 pm

No chance we're making the play-offs now. We should have been putting some of these teams away with a relative ease.
Too much of a job for Evans to turn the whole thing around with only a month to get his men in.
Still feeling positive for the future but pissed off we couldn't maintain the challenge for a bit longer this season.
i would prefer not to.

For gods sake.

We've had a few bad weeks where we've performed worse than we have since evans took over.

The playoffs were never a realistic aim when he took over, and that we've done so well since he took over is a great testament to him

We never were going to go up this season and we won't - it's all about next season.

We've came on leaps and bounds since the dreadful and terrible tactics under Murray

Indeed a two point gap looks way to big to bridge now

Still well positioned for the play-offs.
We've stabilised following the Accy & Grimsby games, time to push again.

Stupid opening post!!

Today was never going to define our season, the next 6/8 games will. Evans has been here 4 months and in this time he's taken us from relegation fodder to play off hopefuls, enjoy the ride and get behind them! If we get the play offs, brilliant, if we don't I'm 100% certain we'll be up there next season.

Pack what in? We aren't good enough to make the play-offs this season.
I didn't get carried away with the wins against some of the proper dirge of the division but did get my hopes up that we could possibly make the play-offs.
We now wont and im pissed off. The run-in we have is ridiculous and we are probably in a false position.
We will finish 10th ish.

Is there a realistic thought process of where were saving ourselves for next season?

We've got a great season next year by the looks of it with an added bonus of an outside chance of the playoffs this season.

In the grand scheme of things, it's still an amazing time to be a Mansfield fan.

But we were 4 points from the relegation zone when evans took over, the playoffs weren't the aim when he took over in the first place this season.

Why be so negative about not achieving something we never set out to achieve anyway?

Two back-to-back away clean sheets. Hardly reason for despair, is it?

Talk about a drama queen, season over, give over - 2 points off the playoff's fgs - What happens this year will happen and it would be a bonus to get in them agaisn't it all from where we were when he took over, but Evans will take us up next year regardless

To the opening poster.

Get real you drama queen we've got our selfs in a position that means if we do well in our next three games we will either be nailed on for a play off spot or mid table.

Get behind them for the next 3 games and not spouting on here here that the seasons over.

Unfortunately it's what Mansfield Town F.C. are, all promise, and no product. Its why, after 100 years of mediocrity, that most of the local population have turned their back on the club and do not support it. When the going gets tough, the club, and the town, always come up short.

SERIOUSLY!!!

We're 2 points off the play offs and our next three games are against two teams above us at home (one playing really bad) and the team directly below us.

Have some belief because with this attitude it's pointless having a football club.

Give over. We can still do it. Don't be Normanesque. Time for Greenie to get fit and fire us into seventh spot. He would then be even more of a legend.

Hahahaha....hahahahaha....hahaha.

A clean sheet, a point away and one defeat since xmas and you're banging on like we are bottom of the Conference and lost 10-0 at Alfreton.

Give your head a shake. You are no fan.

2 points from 2 very hard teams to play against away on 2 bad pitches is not a bad result in my opinion. We are always saying win at home draw away which is what we have done. Still picking up points and not conceding. We are still very much in the mix for the playoffs and only 6 points off 3rd which is a big ask I know but playoffs is definitely still on for me. Wembley here we come
