By the sounds of it, it's a spat between directors. Still time for them to kiss and make up.

What happened here will happen there.

Allen will keep the ground and let someone else take the club off his hands for peanuts.
They will then have to service the debt AND pay extortionate rent for the ground, whilst Allen keeps the non matchday profits.
The club will then end up on the cliff edge like MTFC were before JR took over.
Whether they find a buyer before time runs out is the only question.

Don't forget, Allen kept the money from a charity day organised for Ernie Moss last season, so sentiment is not something he will give a tosh about.

No. He really didn't.

Well that really doesn't read very well, be interested to know how this situation was resolved. Ernie is a legend of both clubs and I hope, as Chambta says, the situation has been resolved.

I really hope they don't go bust and start again next season from scratch.

I want to play them next season and get the chance to rub it in.

I don't want anyone to go bust, I would like them to struggle a bit though the chance to get back at all of the conference stick would be welcomed.

Awc.
To me it looks like they are heavily relying on player sales to pay off debt. Their main backer who has been covering any shortfall (looks like he also helped cause the issues in the first place) appears to have walked away.
They appear the have funding for now but without replacing either of the above they are going to be in trouble.

Knew about the player sales 2 million quid shortfall. But now Allen has walked? Ched will be off like a shot then so they can fill the void in the books.

he's resigned as chairman and director, whether he's pulled funding is another matter. It reads like the other directors want him to pay the bills and he wants them to pay their share so I'd expect them to come to some compromise but still has a feeling of MTFC before Radford stepped in.

The big issue now just before January is that it is out there that they are in trouble.
If Allen could have held off his little moment in front of the masses (he loves the limelight) then they could have achieved a decent accumulation of transfer fees with player sales.

Now every buying club knows they are skint, they are in a stronger negotiating position and can offer much less than their players are worth knowing they will have to reluctantly accept it.

They've probably only got Evans, Ariyibi and Nolan who are possibly worth a transfer fee though.

Interesting that both our main rivals seem to go through period of boom and bust on a regular basis

It looks like Dave Allen wanted the other directors to waive the interest payments on their loans. They did not want to so he resigned as Chairman and a director of the football club.

Chesterfield apparently need to find £50k quite quickly to pay HMRC and £200,000k for wages and other outgoings.

Here's hoping Mansfield lad Daryll Clarke can get Rovers to inflict another defeat on them.
