Without wanting to defend our dear friends, I can’t imagine the prospect of a home game against Bromley would excite any fan, anywhere at any time.

So they can’t come on here giving it the ‘we still get bigger crowds than you’ anymore. Looks like their decline into the deep mire is starting to bite. How many of their stay aways will ever return?

Their attendance of 3700 stood up very well last night compared to league 1 and 2.
I noticed the crowds generally were around 20-30% lower than expected for normal midweek games probably due to the weather.
If they are counting non attending season ticket holders and non attending freebie ticket holders then it could be the crowd figure should have begun with a "2" if comparing apples with apples.
A big drop from the halcyon days of 2014 and 2015 when they were regularly getting 6-7000 fans at the top end of league 1.
It would be interesting to compare our crowds (bums on seats) with their adjusted figures over the last few years. The "we get double or treble your crowd" claims can be finally disproved.
