If they lose they can't say they are focusing on the league.
They are not in it :D

Ended 1-1 great result.

Threw away a lead, haven’t won in however many now and have to fit in a replay!

They did win a couple of games ago. They must have or they wouldn't have been in the first round, you know, with them not being a proper league team and all. ;) ;)

The magic of the FA Cup couldn’t lure more than 2,900 to the Prozac today.

that is a genuine attendance of course, rather than the fiddled figures of their Vanarama National League games.

Went to the Prolapse today after watching the YT beat Huddersfield at the RH. Sat amongst the 200+ Billericay fans who sang for the full 90mins, they were marvellous. Never once got on at their own players even while losing, always backing their men which you could almost feel the team feeding off. The game, well you'd have to say that t'sheep slightly shaded it and had more forays into the Ricky box but Ricky were resolute and worked so hard for each other. Harry McGuire's bro headed the sheep into an earlyish lead after a free kick was whipped in. The Ricky leveller which put the frighteners on the home crowd was a peach of a strike from 20 yards and even I stood and cheered as if it was Sir Mal scoring last year such is my dislike for the Direshites.
After the leveller it was pretty much one way traffic as the sheep ineffectually and desperately searched for a winner but to no avail. I couldn't hear whether their were boos from the home ends as the noise from the Ricky contingent was uproarious at the final whistle.

You have to say now that the balance of power is in Ricky's favour and I don't envy the sheep their trip to Essex in 10 days time.

Coming from someone who very rarely even contributes to our club, that's a bit rich.

At least they only get 40% (or whatever it is) of his gate money.

Short memories. Jamie was publicly right behind Haslam. If all fans were like him, we might not even have a club now.

However, I think the long term future is much brighter for Mansfield with John Radford et al's vision for the club. We are nearly self sustainable, Chesterfield won't be that for many, many years to come.

I put this in 2016 on page one of this thread.

November 2018... now look where we are compared to them.

What a time to be a Stag. The moaners should take a few minutes to consider where we could be right now (Conference... or worse) compared to where we actually are.

We owe the Radfords a hell of a lot. Enjoy it... these are good times we are living in!

I totally agree.

My first game was v Doncaster Rovers in 1974 and we won that match 5-2. That season we won the 4th Div title. That was a great team. And I was lucky enough to watch that team through probably our finest years.

I honestly believe that we are on the edge of something similar or even greater right now. This is the best football i have seen us play since the early 2000’s team. I think this team will be better and with the way the club is now run can potentially achieve far more.

And as is said in the post above, it could easily have been something far different and far worse.

Utter garbage. I marched through the town, attended the public meetings, stood on the banking protesting, tried to start a fans movement to buy the club. Yeah I was right behind him according to you... At least if your gonna throw this crap about don't twist it.

I defended some of his actions where people on here were getting carried away on here. That's all. I didn't like him or want him here any more than anyone else.

https://www.stagsnet.net/news/newsdetai ... ewsid=4215

Worth a read... when you wonder what the 'other agendas' the other fans groups had, it was essentially so they could do a sneaky deal to get Perry and Saunders in with a deal that saw us confined to the BSP and essentially gave the green light to Haslam splitting the club and ground. The deal put us in a much much worse position and left all the power (the lease) with Haslam and put us closer to going pop that we were before. JR saved us, without him those so called fans (who then tried to sue the club) would have seen it go bust.

I'll never accept I supported Haslam, loved him, liked him or anything else. I played devil's advocate on here a bit and argued the toss about some of the finer points but i never thought he was good for our club and unlike most, actually tried to do something about it when it came to it.

He doesn't. Unless being rude online to the club's fans counts for something. I've put thousands into the club over the years. Bellwhiff does naff all and hasn't for a very long time.

Best he can come back with is Haslam stuff which as I've pointed out isnt right either.
