We need Eastleigh to beat Altrincham away on Tuesday and then the Spireites will need to win at Halifax

Of those eight teams Notts have already made the playoffs. They may rest some key players ahead of the play off games, unless they want to make certain of a home tie.
Could be a lot of twists and turns next Satutday.

To not even make the knockout stage would be the biggest embarrassment for them, it was virtually impossible not to make that stage this season, only total mismanagement, arrogance and stupidity could make it happen.

I could be wrong but I think it’s 4v7 and 5v6 then the winners play each other with the highest team at home. Then 2nd play 3rd and the winner of that play the winner of the other game at Bristol City in the final.

Yes the team finishing 4th plays at home against the team finishing 7th. Match A

the team finishing 5th plays at home against the team finishing 6th, Match B

Then in the semi finals the team finishing 2nd are at home to the winners of MatchA

and the team finishing 3rd are at home to the winners of Match B.

If the game doesnt start the way they want it wont take long for those 3000 to turn on the players (hopefully).
Like the above post says a win for eastleigh tonite would make it very interesting

Aldershot vs Eastleigh is tomorrow (Tuesday). A win for Eastleigh would put them a point behind Chesterfield with a game in hand

Hi guys I'm back!!!

I like you views on only being a point behind Spireites with a game in hand but don't forget they are only 2 behind Wrexham and 3 behind Clownty with that same game in hand as well

I know you have some deep down passion regarding the mighty blues but there are others in this league catchable

See you on Saturday at 17:05 guys

:) Must have fallen to sleep

I'd prefer a Halifax win next Saturday and then the Spireites will not be playing anybody!

It's going to be hard for any team against Torquay, Stockport or Hartlepool away.

Could do with Wrexham pipping County for 5th place although if County have to play Wrexham at home it will be a tough game.

Not sure Wrexham are going to make it, Eastleigh and Halifax could get the last 2 places, then again I thought Torquay would beat Barnet by a hatful today.
Think Wrexham were 3-3 at one stage of their game against kings Lynn.

Both County and the Cheats both can’t get promoted, so that is one good thing.

To get promoted, it is looking like Cheaterfield will have to win four matches away from home on the bounce, against the better teams in the league. Starting at Halifax next Saturday.

You could say if they achieved that, they would deserve their promotion.

The good thing is, either both teams won’t get promoted or only one of them will.
I fancy Hartlepool to be promoted. Notts will be close too. Can’t see it being Chesterfield, well hopefully not!!!
