At least with our season finishing before the NL we'll be able to hopefully laugh at t'sheeps and Clownty's attempt to escape from the pit.
Earn it properly, in a fully functional division with all teams fighting.

Still 14 points off the playoffs though.

There are in the play offs...

I think someone doesn't quite understand the play off system in the Conference. So, top team goes up, 2nd and 3rd go into final stages of play-offs, 4th to 7th enter a sort of pre-play-off to see who plays 2nd and 3rd. Then 2nd and third play the two from the pre-play-offs to determine who reaches the actual final. In a few seasons time it will be possible to finish 14th and make the play-offs.

I fully understand the playoffs and to be guaranteed a place in them you need to finish 2nd or 3rd.
Playing Its A Knockout with Eddie Waring as the ref is not a play off game and never well be.

They are starting to get very desperate down there.

They could just go up as champions like we did I suppose but then again they're barely scraping that last play off place.

Yup read that, and thought the same! Not sure what another automatic space would do for them, they’re struggling to get into the playoff spaces as it is, in the weakest league they’ll ever have

I see your point, but I disagree. I see it as. They finish 7th or higher - they can go up. They finish 8th or lower it’s another season in that horrible league (which we all want)

I'm giving them absolutely nothing until they reach the last 4 like the professional leagues do.
It's a knockout isn't even 2 legs, playoffs my Harris.

Chesterfield 0-1 Torquay
11 mins. Nice finish from Lemonheigh-Evans after a super ball threaded through for him in the box.

HT Chesterfield 0-1 Torquay
Torquay look well-organised. Will be an important win for them if they can get it.
Distinct lack of quality from Chesterfield. And you know things are bad when the home commentator keeps sighing!
The only player to impress for the Spireites was Liam Mandeville, who's looked good. A couple of chances for Danny Rowe, whose header brought the only save from the Torquay keeper, and another typical Danny Rowe snapshot from range, not far wide.

With Bromley winning, they also drop out of the playoffs. Looks like Asante has been a big loss for them

Losing again ....
can't be right can it with a manager worth millions and
I thought they had signed 18 new players , gambling there loan money and next year's season ticket cash all in the hope of reaching the playoffs.
And if young Nigel says he's happy
He must be happy

They currently can't even *really* take solace in Wrexham losing as Maidenhead are chipping away at the point defecit, with games in hand

62 mins. Adi Yussuf through on goal, puts his shot past the keeper, but defender gets back to clear off line.

Chesterfield 0-2 Torquay, 76 mins
Cracking strikefrom Billy Waters

Chesterfield had just taken off Liam Mandeville, the best player on the pitch, to the dismay off the commentators. Tactical masterstroke or managerial incompetence?

FT Chesterfield 0-2 Torquay
Classic away performance from Torquay. Very efficient and two good goals. Torquay now 4 points clear at the top.
2nd placed Sutton play tomorrow, 5pm k/o, might take a look at that.
Chesterfield had a good 20 minutes before Torquay got their second, and nearly equalised when Yussuf's shot was cleared off the line. But other than that, real lack of quality from the Spireites, apart from Liam Mandeville, who was taken off by James Rowe to the dismay of the commentators. Chesterfield drop outside the play-off places.
