Their current form and league position is precarious to say the least, whilst I'm enjoying gloating at their non-league status, Conference North is seriously proper non-league, no hope of attracting decent footballers down there not that they are now, I would question if there is even a way back.

Even as ardent Stags fan I'm not sure I would wish that on them, I'd settle for a relegation dog fight for a few seasons, scrapping it out with Counteh.

I admire your passion for their demise Bellwhiff but if they go down again, that's it. We may never play them again. Think how great our last 2 visits to their place were. Or the Lawrence goal? Those days will be only a memory and our greatest rivals will be notts county.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

I’m with Bellers on this, eff em

Their main rivals are The Blunts according to them.

I’d prefer their rivals to be AFC (let the Bulls at em!!)

I agree with your 1st paragraph Pete but as for not wishing Conference North on them I think your right also looking at the teams already down there York Darlington Chester Scarborough Boston all failed football league clubs who have fell on bad times with that in mind....

Why should the Sheep also play in the conference North when there the Conference South that could take them....

And I'm with both of you. The further down they go the better.

I agree with you all, even Big Yella. I look forward to taking the dog a walk on Sutton lawn on a cold and blustery winters Sunday morning to watch the Spireites manager clear dog muck from out the goal mouth before he puts the nets up for a first team game.

Anyone who wants to be soft on them has more than one screw loose. The further down they go the better any right minded Stags fan should feel. If they were going bust I wouldn't pee in their collection bucket. VILE CLUB, VILE FANS who revelled in our wilderness years.

Martin Allen I salute you, you're doing a better job than Lord Lester atm. I can see a Dukedom coming your way if you take them down to the Conf North :D

The sooner they go bust the better. I’ve seen on twitter fans complaining the media don’t care about the situation they are in...what are they going to report? “Chairman invests in a new ground and big playing budgets every season”

"Down, down, deeper and down…" in the words of Francis Rossi. Perhaps they should adopt this tune as they emerge from the tunnel.

STAGS FOR LIFE wrote::D Alfreton won in the FA Cup last night and need to win there next game in the 3rd round which will see them in the draw against National league teams  hopefully a draw against the sheep

Alfreton drawn away at Mickleover in 3rd qualifying round so guaranteed to be a potential local derby game for them.

They don't deserve a club if they're willing to line the pockets of the man who's destroying it. We forced Haslam out through years of protests, boycotts and pressure. What have they done? Bought thousands of season tickets. Idiots.
