Well I didn't go after all (pity :hysteria:  :hysteria: ) but went to watch AFC instead. Had a laugh though when Jason White decided to do a Stanley Matthews dribble with the scores tied at 2-2 when all he needed to do was put it out with 2mins to go. Got robbed and Belper scored the winner. Sort of sent a shiver down my spine aswell of 'that' goal.

Never thought I would feel this way but they have become so pathetic that I am starting to feel a bit sorry for them - has any team ever done 3 straight relegations or will they be record breakers?

I’ll consider feeling sorry for them when.........

They’re bottom
Get locked out of their ground
Get docked points for sending a fax on the wrong colour paper
Get a fine for wearing the wrong training tops
Get taken over by an asset stripping lunatic who wants to change their name to a fictional club from the telly

Your first and last points didn't actually happen to us. But I get what you mean. I think the lowest we ever went was about 17th-18th after a midweek away defeat to Kiddie under McEwan.

Oh c'mon man this is just the Greatest Show on Earth at the moment. Enjoy, revel in it, immerse yourself in their desperation, their torment. If you waver just think back 10 years ago and the horror that awaited us. Then think how they loved every moment.

Okay, it was only brief and I am back with it but it would be nice if they had a glimmer of hope every now and again just so that they can get their bets on for a late play off push and talk about how big a club they are before their next 10 games without a win

Now that I am thinking straight again one other wish would be that they do somehow manage to unearth a good young player that we can offer league football to in January!!

When you could bring in DF and be sure you win rate would improve, you know your in trouble... the run they're on after a decent start is incredible.

They are a big scalp down there and now teams play them really thinking they have a great chance at an 'upset'. It won't be easy to turn this round. So long as they survive as a club id love them seem them drop again.

They probably won't go down but if they could be in the fight late on, id take it.

I am becoming increasingly concerned that Chesterfield are becoming my second team, as I have started looking for their results, whereas previously I really wasn't that bothered.
Then again, I suppose it's a bit like "You've Been Framed" where you laugh at the misfortunes of others, but you wouldn't actually record the programme or stay in specially to watch it.
OK... convinced myself there's nothing wrong with me. Maybe they should get Harry Hill as their next manager?

Jamie, the snide remark regarding DF is unnecessary.

No sympathy for them. I hope they get relegated.

And despite them being in such rag order, Jamie can’t help but get a dig in at our management. Pathetic loser you are.

Taken from Derbyshire times

“Ninety-five of the 170 games Town have played in the post-Cook era have ended in defeat and they’ve conceded 290 goals – 110 more than they’ve scored.”

Fantastic record

Shows how good a manager Paul Cook is, especially when you look at what he's done since.
