If 15th in the Conference with a negative goal difference is what you aspire to, then congratulations.

And if you win all your remaining games you will score one more point than we did in our first season in NON LEAGUE.
That will be a massive achievement (not) when you consider how much bigger your budget is than ours was back then, and the much higher average attendances. ;)

We overspent? Isn't your manager the highest paid in the league?

Mansfield meanwhile are flying high in the Football League & we're really jealous of them & really want to be like them.

Fixed that for you.

Yours?

This has brightened my day. Let's put this in perspective... we are talking about the Sheep fans' joy at avoiding relegation to the Conf North versus any current worry that Stags fans have on missing out on promotion to League 1.

2 issues from 2 different worlds mate, get used to it.

Had to read that bit twice. For a second I thought you were talking about Chesterfields last 3 seasons.

About time this thread was pulled, was fun at first but now they are a complete irrelevance to us and to league football.

I'm amazed there wasn't a match thread for our televised game last Saturday.

Or was that pulled when we went 3-0 up?

No Dilbert, we've got this thread which is quite sufficient, and we are hardly going to post about your 'successes' are we? Or is that difficult to understand? A bit like your lot who come on here when we have bad times. It must hurt you every week trying to cobble together some crumb of comfort to use against us.

As for you being an irrelevance to us.... well we know that's never going to be the case, and vice versa, even when some of you were saying that the Sheffield clubs were your biggest rivals......now that was funny.

No 1 mutual dislike....it will always be the same.

Wow, a win against Sutton-in-Ashfield in the non league.
Who next, Matlock, Huthwaite CWS, Barlborough Old Boys?

Haha, is this dlb chap for real?

Climb down from your high horse you ball sack.

No one watches that level of tripe on TV.

Remind me where that win put you in the Vanarama National League table?

Pfffft. Loser.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

That's a bit harsh AWC, the win catapulted them to the upper reaches of the bottom half of non-league 1 :D As I said, they are irrelevant to us and league football in general

Yep. We were simply amazed at your performance against the mighty Sutton United. The way you eased past the postman, plumber and electrician was great to see.

I watched the Harrogate V Salford game the other night, just because it could possibly be of some relevance as they are both pushing for promotion.

It was dire, which made me think how terrible the Spireites must be to be in the bottom half of such a shockingly poor competition.

I saw some of that match at Harrogate and if they are the top teams the teams down the bottom must be Sunday pub sides.. shocking ...

I doubt the standard of this league is much worse than when you graced it

It was an amazing achievement by Mad Dog to assemble such a shocking team in such a shocking league and I doubt many of us would contradict that

Getting an average of nearly 2 points a game with this lot is pretty good going by Shez even in this league
