Officers are appealing for information after a fight in a Chesterfield street.

Police were called to reports of a fight involving around 20 people outside the Spotted Frog pub, in Chatsworth Road, Chesterfield, at around 10.15pm on Sunday, August 30.

At the scene, a 30-year-old man was found with injuries to his face that required hospital treatment.

Detectives are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the incident – as well as drivers with dashcam footage that may have captured the incident.

Anyone with information or footage is asked to contact Derbyshire police by calling 101, including reference 20*453889 in any correspondence.

The Chesterfield Chairman rightly said in the Non League Paper that they are just aiming to still be in the National League next season and to be sustainable. Just keeping the club alive during this terrible pandemic is going to be their main priority as it will be with most non-league clubs.

Droylsden have already resigned from the Northern Premier League (Step 3) and plan to apply to rejoin the football pyramid in 2021-2022 which will probably be at Step 7 along with the Steve Dale version of Bury FC (not going to happen).

Why not buy or rent the DW building? Gym and shop premises on our doorstep.

Wouldn't say that's relevant to the thread, but great shout regardless

There’s no way a club as small as ours could justify such an expensive premises.

A strong, slick online presence is essential (as every other retailer on earth is discovering)

Our online shop is ridiculously clunky and expensive.

Spireites have cancelled their usual pre-season game at Matlock because one of their staff has tested positive for COVID.

I thought he was awful Andy, well past his prime, couldn't finish his dinner and looked knackered after 5 mins. I bear him no ill will, but I do hope he sees his current side to another relegation

Sixteen goals in 56 appearances, whilst not prolific, isn't shoddy. We've had a lot worse. :)

Would be interesting how many they actually would turn in this season being on how they are so obsessed on attendances . My guess would be less than us at our lowest ebb.

It was a friendly! Means nothing.

We got stuffed 4 nil in a cup game and loads on here were saying it was only a friendly.

Compared with our surrender of two points today it means nothing.
