Country File are filming out that way. Watch on Sunday and you will see Ellie Harrison rounding up the first team for training using nothing but a whistle, crook and a collie dog.

Ah but which crook will she be using. Will it be the one with the brown paper bags or the one that sells raffle tickets?

It’s been announced this morning that the NL will “probably” start next weekend. The article was about the thought that the whole season would be scrapped.

Speaking to a mate of mine who's quite well in with the setup down at Chester... Seems there's still afew clubs including York & kiddy who are resisting the re-start apparently even playing just one game of the season means that contractually they are forced to pay the players for a full season... Obviously they are worried that finishing is gunna be impossible without fans.

With the new furlough scheme, clubs would have to pay half the wages and government 20%?
I don't know How this works with contracts.
Back room staff would probably be made redundant.
It must be a legal nightmare for clubs.
Thank god we have the Radfords.

Think that only applies if the worker does a third of their contracted hours and no more. Part time football throughout ?

The worker has to do a minimum of a third of their hours, but can work as many as the employer wants. The deal is the government will pay a third of non worked hours as long as the employer does the same.
Those accustomed to privilege may feel that equality is oppression.

Just lost at home to Guisley.

It is amazing the lengths that the Spireites will go to just to remain unbeaten on the first day of the season.
Asking the congregation of their wobbly church to spend a week praying for rain is just not on!!

Does it really matter ? Best to pay attention to our long season.

No we’re not. We’re better than a team who are actually below a team who have gone bust in the non league table for a start!

I'm sorry I'm with Amber Andy on this one.... We are in no position to extract the urine at the minute.
No bigger laughing stock than us I'm afraid.

If you can’t laugh at your rivals who are non league then you might as well give up.

The only saving grace from how terrible we are at the moment is that both the Spireites and County are more terrible.

Dan, the best time to have a laugh at our rivals is when we are doing well, not when we haven't won a game after seven attempts so far this season.
At this moment in time we would struggle to beat Cheaterfield or Notts County for that matter.

I'm thinking about it.

We might be league 2 in name but our football is strictly non-league standard at the minute...
