Didn't the poll on their official website get pulled after the push for Chris O'Grady being player of the season :D

You mean the Chris O’Grady who scored for Oldham in the FA cup this weekend.

Something they failed to do. :)

Really odd timing. Protesting at a game which is likely to see the lowest home crowd of the season? Surely the time to stage a mob handed protest was yesterday against Grimsby? That would have been more high profile. The extra police presence required to not only deal with the usual subset of brainless oiks travelling from Cleethorpes but to also ensure a peaceful protest will have alerted the media for sure.

There will be hardly anyone there against Basford. If it was an FA Cup game then perhaps but it's in a cup that the majority of the footballing world isn't interested in. There will be more tumbleweed than fans.

Talking to direshite fans at work before the weekend, most of them were so deluded they genuinely thought they were going to beat Grimsby. Maybe the plan was to protest at a high profile 3rd round FA cup game ?

If he takes them down again he should be given the freedom to leave Chesterfield. Can't make him endure it any longer.

put some first team players on the transfer list:

CHESTERFIELD MAKE PLAYERS AVAILABLE

Chesterfield have published a list of players who are available to leave the club.

Kyel Reid, Marc-Antoine Fortune and Zavon Hines are all free to leave, while Shwan Jalal can go out on loan.

Joe Anyon, Michael Nelson and Robbie Weir are all available on a free transfer or loan deal.

Is this an attempt to reduce wages or are they truly rubbish? If it's wages is it a sign they could be on the brink?

It's lucky they have a decent owner that is prepared to pump huge sums of money into the club on a month by month basis to keep it afloat (and make huge losses in the process).
Their budget was very healthy last season in league 2 (top 5 apparently) and again this season so the fans can't complain about lack of backing.
If they were run by a consortium or a stop gap/three amigo set up then they would be in the doo dahs.
I hear some fans are starting to question the owners commitments? What do they expect? They need a dose of what we got 10 years ago in terms of investment
