I don't really believe Chesterfield fans do - for fans who started watching football in the mid 90's like me - they had the best part of 2 decades being better than us which probably explains why we're "their little yellow friends" - probably a rag of comfort when you're knocking around the might of Altrincham, Weymouth and Dover.

As for County, their fans are nothing short of delirious

Sacked the manager. He was doing such a good job too.

Pemberton sacked. I can't see that making much difference.

new gaffer probably got a harder job not knowing the squad or being able to add to it.

Whats Jack Lester up to?

How ironic would that be that Coughlan goes there after they were creaming themselves that we were going to be having Caldwell as our new manager, then they end up with the worst manager in our history.

Will the new applicants have to be interviewed by Derbyshire County Council?

Will Council tax payers get a vote on the final decision?

I think Coughlan would be a good move for them.

I am LOVING their travails.

It’s just a gift that keeps giving.

Coughlan's 'style' and his fitness regimes would probably be enough to keep then out of the bottom 3 this season.

His 6-4-0 formation would soon see them drop even lower

This is one of those mate of a mate of a mate stories. So a mate of mine was told by a mate of his who apparently is friendly with board members at the prozac that there's a real chance of the going to the wall within a couple of years and playing home games at the rugby ground and applying to join at step 8 level

Some of their fans on Bobs Board actually believe they can get Paul Cook, The Cowley's or Graham Alexander!!! If you want a laugh, have a look on there. Deluded or what!

Some of them are wanting Tim Flowers. To be fair to them, if you are old enough to remember the one hit wonder, I think they would struggle to recruit Mike Flowers Pop.

Id much rather them get relegated again than to fold

They've already managed to be far worse than when we were down there... and even when the 3 amigos had no money we still didn't do too badly. I think they're on course to stay down their much longer than 5 seasons.

Options for the new gaffer in Jan are.... Promoting from within the YT or out of contract players... Unlucky lads!
