£25k and up to £10k in add ons. He could well help us over the line this season.
Pity the National League didn't stipulate no more signings until the £1 million was being paid back. How they can give a team a loan, to get them through the rest of the season, and then allow them to splash cash on a new signing is almost beyond credibility. The National League is currently a shambles.

Assets fella, a ground worth millions, a first team squad of players with huge sell on potential, a manager who’d cost millions to poach, a fan base that most would dream about, the best conference facilities in the area, etc etc etc

I see what you did there ;)

A manager who would cost millions to poach? He’s done nowt.

I’d rather poach eggs :) :)

A ground worth millions?

As a building plot for shops/houses maybe :)

31 first team players, some on furlough, loans to survive spent on new players while the tax payer funds others who can't make the team, that club is rotten to the core.

We are clever, using the furlough money to pay the tax payer funds back, win, win.

I’d say disgusting and immoral, just the same as a benefits cheat. Abusing taxpayers cash for your own gain. If you don’t go up it’s going to catch up with you, they will only give you so much.

Ok while I'd agree your recent form has been very good & to find yourselves in the playoffs from in the basement were your season started is also an achievement in itself but lets breakdown your little paragraph....

"A ground worth millions" = the land it sits on is maybe good for tescos next extension but its hardly Wembley is it?

"first team squad of players with huge sell on potential" = never heard of any of your players apart from tyson who i dont think will generate much sell on cash! Your squad has about as much sell on potential as our Coughlan rejects.

" A manager who’d cost millions to poach" = so far he has won NOTHING i dont think a manager who has taken a NL side from 20th to 6th is worth millions... Using that logic paul cox must have been worth at least a billion for winning the conf title

And whilst we are on the subject of a meteoric rise from relegation fodder to play off contenders, let’s not forget that half the league have been playing their youth teams mixed with reserves. Hardly a competitive second half to the season and how where you doing again when teams were actually competing?

Spot on. The National League has become a joke. It will be the easiest promotion ever from that league, for the two who do eventually get promoted.

Yes I think the sheep dip must have been a particularly strong mix this year. A bit like living in a house with a cannabis grow in every room. :D :D

Just extended his contract, brave move by us going for him, rather than a “name” we could have easily ended up with a dinosaur, a lower league version of Big Sam or Pulis.

Well it was either brave or stupid but I would wait and see how it turns out before coming on here and declaring him as the next messiah.

A sensible move really. Just copying what we did with Paul Cox.

You’ll remember him from watching his team win at your place.

He also lost in the playoffs after a late surge in his first season.

No, I don’t remember him, was it the year we won the league?

National League is tricky, with the exception Bolton and Sutton, the top 8 of the NL are bigger clubs than the top 8 of L2.

Edit, you could make a case for Tranmere

Now I know you have definitely been drinking the sheep dip :D :D .

Halifax, Stockport, Torquay and Wrexham don’t even come close. Yourselves and County are living on past reputations and Hartlepool have been spent for years. Out of the top 8 Sutton are probably the only ones who will be capable of getting further than League (that’s Football League by the way) 2 within the next five years. Yourselves and County could well be wound up within that period as you are both spending way beyond your means and gambling with your future existence.

If you are trying to say that the competition in the also ran league is superior to clubs in league two you are sadly delusional. There are a lot of poor sides in league two this year but at least none of them are fielding their youth teams purely to fulfil fixtures. This year’s National League is probably the weakest it’s been in decades.

Huge, huge teams.

Tell me, do BT Sport still pay you massive clubs £1,000 for a televised away match???
