They said on t'wireless that it's one of those situations where if the Grimsby bus had set off later they would have made it because they could have got off the M62 at an earlier junction. It sounds like they weren't far away from the accident itself and were stuck.
When i tuned into the commo someone who was on the Grimsby bus said they had only just got moving again at 7:30 .

correct about fixture backlog which is why Grimsby were desperate for it to be moved to Saturday 3 o 'clock. The Grimsby CEO let slip that Macclesfields manager was against playing tomorrow but didn't elaborate. Whether he was telling the truth there or not ?

Did you slip that in?

Apologies for that

Presumably they'd gone on the M62 so they could pick up a player who lives in West Yorkshire. Otherwise it'd be a crazy diversion.

Because they have the Trophy final still to play they have a fixture every weekend and also midweek(if you count Easter Monday-1st April). That means they will have to fit a fixture in somewhere within 2 days of another match probably Weds 3rd April.Could be tough.
