Ant is seeing a specialist on Friday to find out the extent of his injury. Initial indications are 2-3 weeks.

I think Paul Cox will wait to see what a specialist thinks before deciding upon getting a replacement.

Good to see Howell's contibution is being recognised. At first I doubted his abilty along with many others but in fairness to us all I do think he has improved greatly over recent months and perhaps an increase in confidence has helped. He certainly puts himself about more than he used to.

Regarding Clements - I don't think he had that bad a game. Although it didn't look like it, he is the most technically gifted player we have and will no doubt come good at some stage and make us some serious money.

The current problem appears to be more about his lack of interest/motivation. He just didn't seem bothered at Lincoln and when he's supposed to be replacing a player who is all action, he's bound to look poor in comparison.

I think there is a problem PC needs to sort before we'll get the best from him.

Lets hope Clements does not turn into a Tolley or Pilkington with whatever is making him listless and uninterested!!

Lets hope its not as bad as it could be and he's back after a couple of weeks.
Looking at the top teams in our league, they are all making potentialy influencial loan signings.
With only a short time left to go till the end of the loan window, maybe an influential athletic and experienced midfielder to fill in for Ant would be beneficial and would inject energy and impetous into the team.
Clem was rubbish against Lincoln, Tolley for what ever reason is not being selected and Poku is on season loan and I don't think has a recall clause.
Now is the time to make a stunning loan aquisition to drive us on to success.

seeing a specialist tomorrow i believe

I don't think this is new news from what i said on commentary on Tuesday night. He's seeing a specialist and we'll know after that. Maybe out two to three weeks

Whilst I think we have enough (and they are showing we don't really need any) I think a new loanee til the end of the season would probably welcomed - Murray & Howell were forming a cracking midfield partnership but Clements isn't the answer to Howells absence so maybe bringing a midfielder in, may be an option for Cox

Anthony Howell was interview pre-game yesterday, in the KBS.

The injury is not as bad as originally thought.

He said he is fine running in straight lines, its just when he turns and runs sideways he feels a bit of pain.

Out for no more than two weeks! :D

He said that he is itching to get back, but doesn't want to rush it, and agrivate the injury.

Well done Anthony!
