They say getting there is the easy part staying there is the hard part, Rawson is a big miss and Hawkins, O"Toole lacks pace.
Clough must have a plan with our defence they will try to hit us on the break, Defend, obstruct, frustrate will be the order of the day.
We are the team everybody wants to beat which brings its own pressure, my own thoughts , Attack 10/10 , Midfield,10/10, Defence, 6/10.
Never mind a record lets keep the good run going, we can do it WIN
Worried about the Ref

Obviously anything can happen but we do look stronger than them on paper, and we're at home.

Just hope the players don't start to chase the record. We need to play our game and be patient because I think they will try to stop us playing and get the draw gather than concentrating on their own game.

Can see a good home crowd attending this too.

How many games have we won with no pace at CB bear ?

Sick of reading about Hawkins being a liability and O toole isn't a CB...

We are about to break a club record with these 2 playing most games at CB...

Will never please everyone I suppose...

Kenny Jackett is saying quite the opposite, that they aren't interested in us and will look to just make sure they play their game. Obviously, managers don't always tell the truth, but it doesn't sound like mind games and he seems like a straight-shooter.

I never said Hawkins or O"Toole was a liability but lacked pace, and i never said O"Toole could not play central defence, and never in my post did i mention Mclaughlin.
A simple observation of a lack of pace,

This run we are on has got Mssrs Ladbrookes, Hill, Bet Fred and Coral fearing me walking down the High Street now. The shear dread on their staff as I stride proudly to the counter with my Stags backed stakes is something not beholden for many a season.

Looking forward to a great day out, a good game from two sides that have the potential to play attacking football. In London the O’s attacked whilst we valiantly defended and we are much more in the ascendancy than then, so it’s. A prediction of two nil from me. And more jubilation in the crowd.

Then home in time for tea and more browsing of Amazon for a new paddling pool.

Come on you Stags.

It could be tricky with the wind which is forecast to get stronger and appx 40+ mph gusts.
Does anyone recall the home game in 2004 versus Oxford when Stags battled valiantly until half time against the wind to keep the score at 0 0 ?
I actually thought the wind had actually got a little less fierce during the interval but somehow when the players came out for the second half the Oxford players and staff refused to play and eventually referee Howard Webb abandoned the match before the second half began. It back fired because Stags won the rearranged game.

it's down to 34mph gusts by kick off, and less by full time

So windy, but nowhere near as windy as that day against Oxford. We've had other games as windy as this (at least if it as predicted) in the last couple of years.

If the wind doesn't drop the game is going to be a lottery.

Yes I remember it very well. Thought it was a shameful decision by the referee being influenced by Oxford to get the game abandoned because they couldn’t hack it as the wind was against them second half and they didn’t even take to the field after half time

The windy conditions will make for some fun and plenty of mistakes. I can see this being entertaining as usual but not great free flowing football. I think this will suit JJ, Hawkins at the back and Bowery and Oates up top. Definitely not as windy now as it was an hour ago!!! COYS

If memory serves, that Oxford match followed one a couple of years earlier, against the same opposition, equally wind-affected, when we played with the wind in the first half, scored twice towards the end of the half, which I didn't think would be enough, and only conceded one in the second half in a magnificent defensive display, to win 2-1. That result is probably why, a couple of years later, Oxford got cold feet at half time.
