£25,000 is far too cheap because it's signed by a million pound manager!

£5 (if you buy one ticket) and signed.

I just paid a fair wack for a signed Stags shirt I'm currently having framed.

But £5 for nothing if you don’t win.

Remind me how fair and honest their last raffle was.

1) that's how raffles work
2) there last one was a scam, but also 6 years ago, and weren't the fans repaid?

Yes I know that’s how raffles work.

They were only repaid when they got caught not because they did it out of the kindness of their heart. Would you trust them?

In any case, the board is only of value to a cheats fan so £5 is probably about right. Can’t see many fans of other clubs buying many tickets. Each to their own I suppose.

If they’d won at Chelsea I could probably see some value in the sponsors board. But as they were smacked about like a puppy in a children’s nursery it’s hardly worth the ticket price for the “winner”.

I suppose we have to remember though that they are non league club run by a charity.

I really do hope the bubble bursts the other side of the M1 and also along the Trent at Meadow hell, but i do like the principle of a raffle.

Maybe this is something we should adopt. a raffle 3/4 times a season, generating £100k could pay to enhance the fans experience at Field Mill, or something similar

I agree what happened before was terrible although sounds like everyone involved was fired.

If the Stags ran a similar raffle I'd enter, but then I trust the Radfords.

We use a ‘raffle’ to the naming writes of the stand behind the goal at the mill.

We offer links to the Chad on Stagsnet and not copy pasted articles so that the Chad gets the "hits" and ergo, revenue for a local publication. In the case of the Derbyshire times we shouldn't be giving them the clickbait hits and just copy and paste the whole thing here on this thread :D

I actually trust this raffle to be genuine, the prize is a load of rubbish they’ve found at the back of the stands so I’m sure they just want it gone. Put a couple of scribbles on it and some mug will try and win it.

The Chad and Derbyshire Times are both owned by JPIMedia which is owned by National World plc, a company set up by David Montgomery, a former editor of the Daily Mirror, The Sun and News of the World.

National World plc bought JPI Media which was set up for the benefit of the creditors after Johnstone Press went bust.

JPIMedia own loads of local newpapers including:
Derbyshire Times
Doncaster Free Press
Green Un (Sheffield)
Mansfield Chad
Retford Guardian
Sheffield Star
Sheffield Telegraph
Worksop Guardian
Yorkshire Evening Post
Yorkshire Post

Other local newspapers are owned by Reach plc (formerly Trinity Mirror) who bought another company set up by David Montgomery
Lincolnshire Echo
Mansfield and Ashfield Recorder
