Carlisle put out a first team against Lincoln in the EFL Trophy tonight. Presumably an attempt to continue a bit of momentum after their late winner on Saturday.

Carlisle attendance was 884, the fourth lowest total in Brunton Park history for a first-team game (75 from Lincoln)

I went to watch Scunthorpe United v Bradford City on Saturday. Had a chat to a few Bradford City fans and they have not yet been won over by Derek Adams. They were not happy after losing 2-1 to Tranmere. I put the pressure on a bit more by telling them how poor Scunthorpe were and that they should be really worried if they could not beat them. The game was heavily affected by the wind like the Stags at Crawley. Scunthorpe had the wind 1st half and played really well. Aaron Jarvis headed in a cross from Ross Millen to give them the lead and Onariase and Hippolyte had chances to make it 2-0. Most of the Scunthorpe fans I chatted to at half time said they would be happy with a point even though they were leading 1-0.

2nd half it was all Bradford with Callum Cooke running the show. Yann Songo'o equalised from a Cooke corner early on in front of the Bradford fans and Alex Gilliead hit the post and Cooke shot narrowly wide. However Scunthorpe broke out on a couple of occasions and Jarvis hit the bar and Hippolyte had a shot saved. Scunthorpe hung on for grim death at the end and got a well deserved point. Bradford fans were not happy and there were boos at the final whistle.

Andy Cook was out injured. Lee Angol started and he was absolutely awful throwing himself on the floor at every opportunity. There are many simillarities with Jordan Bowery - big, strong, quick, decent touch - but constantly flatter to deceive (He scored tonight). Most of Bradford's team had previously played for Scunthorpe including Abo Eisa, Alex Gilliead, Niall Canavan, Levi Sutton, Yann Songo'o and Theo Robinson. Abo Eisa limped off in the 1st half with a hamstring injury to chants of "Championship, you're having a laugh" from the Scunny fans.

Bradford sold 1700 tickets and Scunthorpe were still selling another 300 away tickets on.the day. The good news for potential big away followings such as the Stags is that they also allow away fans in the end section of the East Stand on the side as well as behind the goal.

Great pre-match music at Scunny going from Blitkreig Bop by the Ramones, Jeff Beck's Hi-Ho Silver Lining and then Kasabian's Club Foot. They then play a bit of Sham 69 at half time.

I’d rather have Bowery than Angol comfortably to be fair.

Just come back to the girlfriend's in Prestwich and watching Salford vs Direshites. I'm literally a mile away from the ground and could walk there in 20 mins to abuse them from the main road outside the ground.
I walked past the ground when we lost there 2-0 last season, you can see into the ground a little, but not much. I shouted some support from the main road last time.

Watching Salford vs Chesterfield to prepare for next Saturday's commentary.

Chesterfield lead 1-0 at HT thanks to a brilliant strike from Mandeville. Very even game overall. Thomas-Asante looking really lively for Salford.
