no he didn't.

Question: any new injuries from the weekend?
Nigel Clough: "No. I think everybody came through ok. George Maris and Ollie Clarke are fine. So it should be a pretty similar squad to pick from on Saturday."

Nigel Clough in iFollow Stags interview asked if he'd expect Birmingham to let Ryan Stirk leave:
"I can't see that happening".

Birmingham City loanee Ryan Stirk is starting to shine for Mansfield Town
chad.co.uk, by John Lomas, Tuesday 30th November 2021

Birmingham City youngster Ryan Stirk is starting to really catch the eye after winning a starting place in the Mansfield Town side.

Two of the 21-year-old's passes in the build-up to the opening goal in Saturday's 2-1 win at Crawley Town were superb and boss Nigel Clough said: “He is just getting back to fitness really, but the two passes were very good quality.

“The fact he didn't stand after his first one – that was the most important thing. He went and supported the attack, got on the ball again and then played the killer pass for Ollie Hawkins to get a toe on it.

Mansfield Town boss Nigel Clough backs fans’ ideas for future of English football
chad.co.uk, by John Lomas, Tuesday 30th November 2021

Mansfield Town boss Nigel Club said he would welcome a new independent regulatory body for football in this country.

And he called on Premier League clubs to treat their supporters better.

With wages and ticket prices at the top always rising but not enough of that money filtering down to help lower leagues, the government has 'endorsed the idea in principle' but the Premier League is inevitably opposed to it.

The independent idea is the primary recommendation of a fan-led review of football governance, which has been welcomed by Culture Secretary Nadine Dorries, who said the government will work on a 'substantive response' to be presented next spring as English football lurches from crisis to crisis.

“I think football in general needs to be independently regulated,” agreed Clough

“One or two clubs need looking at closer individually, but I think overall we need to look at the bigger picture.

“First of all we need to see if fans are getting value for money and treated appropriately.

A number of players still remain sidelined for the Doncaster fixture.

Clough: “Richard Nartey is back training now. He just needs a game or two [and] we’ll try and get a game organised [for him to feature in].

“Danny Johnson is still in the gym. He is hopefully going to get out on the grass again this week. We will see how that goes.”

Although the injury crisis is now over, Stags still have two players on the treatment table - and Tuesday will come too soon for them.

“Richard Nartey is back training now and just needs a game or two,” said Clough.

“After he has done a full week's training we will try to get him one organised - it could be next week or the week after.

“Danny Johnson is still in the gym. He's hopefully going to get out on the grass this week and start his rehab in earnest with some running.

“We'll see how that goes, but he won't be available for a week or two yet.”
