By sharing it, does that make it coming from 3 separate sources?

If we all keep repeating it, that will make it coming from multiple sources so it must be true.

Yes of course he would turn it down. We are sat in the 2nd bottom and without in 14 games. It would save paying him off

Is that a reverse 'vote of confidence'?

apparently Clough hardly speaks to JR and Carolyn... everything goes through Sharpe, not sure if that's a good thing or not.

Still don't know if its dependant on results before Jan, or even tomorrows game.. but the aim last time I got an update was Clough will be here until 2023 at least.

Was that update in August or recently? Have to say with our position and piss poor points return any Chairman in the FL would have a very, very itchy trigger finger by now.

Recently, as in about 2 weeks ago, but I've been saying since then things change very very quickly. Personally I think he'd resign before being sacked, but I don't think he believes were in any danger.

Players been asking questions about the near future, if that means current or possible new additions I don't know. But sounds like there's a vote of confidence been made somewhere.

Wouldn't say i was devout now.... Maybe 15 years ago in my younger years when i went home & away every week without fail.
More of a fairweather fan these days admittedly (wife & kids priority i guess) but still make it to the mill when i can.

Just isn't fun going to the matches anymore thou... In fact its boring as hell! & my son no longer wants to go with me so its somewhat lost its charm and at £26 a go its just not worth it imo.

Gotta say i much prefer watching the lad in the u9's league up at manor park every sunday.

I think that’s a very good thing. Sharpe is his boss. No need to speak to the owners much

That's how a business with a Chief Executive works, everything goes through them, they run the joint - that's precisely why JR has appointed Sharpe, to run the club on a day to day basis instead of him. A Chairman in our case is effectively a ceremonial position, JR is more of a owner/benefactor now - Sharpe will brief JR on the key decisions (hence the briefing on transfer deadline day) but Sharpe runs the club.

Great to hear, how an effective board should work. They should hold the CEO to account not be dabbling directly into/between the manager-CEO relationship
