Kellan Gordon gone for a scan on his knee, says doubtful but I cant see him playing if its bothering him that much.

Stirk twisted his ankle, neither have trained.

Maybe Nigel will now be forced to give James Clarke his chance. I hope he takes it and proves what he can do.

I’m sorry to see Stirk injured as he adds a bit of bite. Not the biggest or strongest but more than willing to have a good go.

Surely time to give James Clarke a place at right back.

Garner says they've picked a team... Clarke will surely be starting.

We've got no choice really. He could play Hewitt there and start George Cooper. If he does that though it's gotta be curtains for James Clarke. The defence is now "which 4 are available?"

Or I suppose he could put Hewitt at right back and Macca at Central defence and start Burke.

All I know is there's some scary options out there at the moment. So therefore under the rules of football pick the scariest and we'll keep a clean sheet.

Hewitt right back, Hawkins CB now Johnson has bagged a couple. Hawkins could combat the threat of Smith.

Do we think Hawkins would actually be a good defender based on anything other than he can head it?

It was said when we'd signed him he's played at the back before. I don't know how many games he's played at CB but his height obviously plays into it. Hard to say what his tackling will be like

I posted on page one a bit what I remembered from reading about him.

https://stagsnet.net/news/newsdetails.php?newsid=10135

If you scroll down to Converted centre back it he talks about his time.

Don't read the last line about give me time to settle and mistakes.

Were really not that bad, as Garner said its mainly been mistakes. We usually create enough and are certainly not going to roll over and die against anyone in this league.

I would play James Clarke - deserves his chance.
Shame about Stirk - I thought he was excellent when he came on Saturday.

That has got to be one of the weakest attempts at firing at Belly that i've seen. I am very much looking forward to his response.

I was paraphrasing Tim Lovejoy on Soccer AM. Maybe you were too busy filling nappies to have seen it back then.
