Personally don’t see JJ ever getting back to the level he was at. If he was to stay he would be 5th choice CB - we’d be better off trying to move him out on loan recouping whatever we can of his wages and freeing up a space in the squad in my opinion.

John Joe O'Toole was clearly not right all season. I thought something was wrong in the 1st half away at Sutton United at the end of August. He had a terrible half and struggled to pass the ball accurately across the pitch. It was later reported he had a foot injury which he never really recovered from.

He was sat with a guy i know at the End of Season Dinner earlier this month. Apparently he had broken a bone in his foot which he played on for several games before a scan picked it up. In his words "he was so frustrated that he was struggling and just thought age had caught up with him" He is hoping that now it's healed he can get a good preseason in him and contribute to the squad this coming season.

In that case if we are looking to sign him i hope the club does a thorough, proper in depth medical.

Stone, the L1 goalkeeper gives you the shivers. You lead a charmed life supporting Mansfield. The names Jason White, Paddy Gamble or Scott Shearer won't mean anything to you. They were shiver material.

I think he was inconsistent but not necessarily a liability. He suffered from being in a weak centre half pairing and the odd brain fart. To be honest, it wasn't clear whether he or Rawson would be released. Talking to a Dundee fan last week who said that he had really won over the fans with his performances but he was still a sending off risk.
I wouldn't see him as a target for us in any way but I do remember his time with positives without ignoring his mistakes
