Totally agree with all that but love Barnsley are giving it a go.

Looking the better team with 10 men

I think it spurred Barnsley on. Unlucky red card, however in real time it looked dangerous. VAR should’ve asked the referee to have another look. Barnsley will surely tire if it goes to extra time. Wednesday have been average!

What an awful game of football.

I see Duff is still anti-football just like he was at Cheltenham.

He learnt his ‘skills’ at the Sean Dyche school of football.

Don’t agree with that, he’s a very good manager.

VAR comes to Barnsley’s aid.

Wednesday players and fans look at bit stupid.

Think the gregory incident was both players just ending up kicking each others legs i dont think it was a penalty ,but the sending off was very harsh

It was an enjoyable game after Adam Phillips (former Morecambe loan player) was sent off for Barnsley. I was hoping Barnsley would win it on penalties.

Lots of former League 2 players.

Nicky Cadden, Liam Kitching and James Norwood were good players for Forest Green Rovers. I liked Bobby Thomas as a centre half when he was playing on loan at Barrow in 2020-2021. He went on loan to Bristol Rovers this season but Joey Barton seemed to go off him after they lost 4-3 at home to Exeter City. Michael Duff knew him from coaching Burnley U23s and perhaps he also liked his long throw. Luke Thomas was also on loan at Bristol Rovers last season. Max Watters came on as a sub like Norwood.

Cameron Dawson was on loan at Exeter City when they were promoted from League 2. Josh Windass played for Accrington. Michael Smith played for Portsmouth and was on loan at AFC Wmbledon. Michael Ihiekwe played for Tranmere Rovers as did Norwood. Wednesday also had David Holdsworth signing Lee Gregory and Marvin Johnson who played against the Stags for Kidderminster Harriers in 2012-2013 when we pipped them to the Conference Premier title.

Perhaps the local Owls will now shut up moaning about being too big for League 1.

Whatever they've spent they're the best club team in English history and deserve a European title. All top Prem clubs shovel cash at it and none have not out of it what Man City have.

Not that I could give a baboons bright red backside.

Personally I thought United's achievement in 99 was greater, they didn't have the most money in Europe and had a whole host of home grown talent - they were also owned by British people, not dubious oil money and weren't subject to over 100 charges from the FA for breaking the rules.

However, as you say, I don't give a baboons bright red backside and was bored stiff throughout the game :D

Rob I didn't even watch it mate, cos of that baboon's backside thing. I meant the way that Citeh play their football more than anything: flowing, effortless and ruthless. The Manu thing with the home grown kids is the real deal too mind. I did watch that final and it was also dreadful for 89 minutes.

They don’t deserve anything. Cheated, pure and simple.
Will always be a tainted treble.

If proven I agree but their treble on the pitch is the real deal as they qualified for the Champions league as actual Champions unlike United 1999 who should not have been competing. Anyone else struggling with the definition of the word Champions?
