Shock. Small Stockport keeper doesn’t get remotely close to any of the Carlisle penalties.

Nothing to do with the keepers tbh…just 1 really poor and telegraphed penalty by the youngster. Better team won.

Should be fun. Looking forward to it.

Stockport is a better away day than Carlisle although I enjoyed the 4-0 win this season.

They can only have 20 first team squad players the rest must be young players so money really is not the issue its quality and i would back us against most

Well done to Paul Simpson who has done a wonderful job at Carlisle. A candidate for Manager of the Season.

Well done to them. To beat Bradford and then Stockport (two big hitters) they deserve it.

Phil Stant is leading the Carlisle players back from the presentation to the pitch.

Why Phil?

He is senior in the FA or EFL now. Last time I saw him at Mansfield he was doing some sort of assessing of the facilities.

I think Phil Stant works for the EFL.

It will be a tougher League Two next season, of that there is no doubt. It is very important we get off to a great start. I can see us doing it the "Mansfield way", and achieving automatic promotion in a very competitive league. We go with refreshed hope ! :D

Orient, Stevenage and Carlisle all promoted this season. Barely anyone would have predicted those three to go up last August.

That League 2 table from 2018 that's been doing the rounds with Luton and Coventry in it - Accrington Stanley as champions.

Never worry about those who you think are the competition. Worry about yourselves.

Bradford fans out in full force with their open top bus parade for biggest attendances of the season. They are the Leeds of league 2 with 'we would have taken more'.

Wonder what the secret could be that Bradford (Population: 500,000) are keeping to themselves.

Selling very cheap season tickets and counting attendance even when they don’t show up.

Barnsley got a red card, but just hit bar. Still 0-0

Barnsley have been done by some shocking refereeing and use of VAR there. Gregory very lucky not to have a penalty given against him and moments later is on the wrong end of a challenge that should’ve resulted in a yellow card and not a red. I honestly don’t see the point in VAR if they won’t correct two poor referring decisions like that.

How can anyone defend VAR after watching that and still thinking it's a red card

Looked like a pen to me and that should've been a yellow card.

That's why I don't want us to get to the prem, VAR! ;)

Nailed on penalty, the Barnsley lad got to the ball and Gregory kicked his foot. The referee looked well placed to see it but fair enough it happened quickly. How on earth someone sat there in charge of VAR doesn’t see that as an obvious error when watching it back is inexcusable though. A potentially season defining moment taken away because someone can’t watch a replay properly. I’d be fuming if I was a Barnsley supporter.
