Stags unveil new kit
Nottingham Post, Wednesday, June 08, 2011

MANSFIELD Town have revealed their new home kit for the 2011/12 season, sponsored by Greene King.

The new shirt is made up of an amber body with a blue strip on the right shoulder. The shorts and socks are royal blue.

Greene King's free trade director Joe Parks said: "We're absolutely delighted to be the new sponsors of Mansfield Town. When Steve Barker (Stags' chief executive) offered me this opportunity, I didn't need asking twice.

"Mansfield are my hometown club and I don't think there is anything better than having Greene King IPA on the front of that wonderful amber shirt."

Chairman John Radford said: "It's important that the club has a good main sponsor and I believe Greene King will be a solid sponsor for us. We thank them for their sponsorship for the forthcoming season and hope to form an even closer relationship with them.

"We've just had the first batch of kits through and the replicas will be available to buy almost straight away."

Captain Adam Murray said: "It's a great design. The sponsor's logo takes up a good area of the shirt which is good for them."

Adam Smith added: "It's nice and light. You feel mobile in it. It's a change from last season's but I prefer it."

The Stags away shirt for 2011/2012 will be the blue shirt used for the second half of last season, but with a new sponsor, Greene King IPA.

The shirt, with the old sponsor name, Hymas Homes, was first used at Eastbourne in January (see here for audio and photo).

The shirt with the new sponsor for next season is now available from the club shop, and is modeled by photographer Dan Westwell
