Holdsworth wants four to complete Mansfield squad
Evening Post, July 05, 2010

DAVID Holdsworth is hopeful of adding four more signings to his Mansfield Town squad.

The Stags boss saw Jake Speight sold to Bradford City for £25,000 last week, before he allowed Kyle Perry to join fellow Blue Square Bet Premier club Tamworth.
He is determined to replace both and is also still hunting for an attacking midfielder and versatile defender.
Two players hoping to fit the bill are young trialists, forward Danny Mitchell and midfielder John Leonard.
"The fans will think that we only have one recognised striker on the books now (Rob Duffy)," said Holdsworth.
"We need at least one forward, if not two, and it would be nice to get a midfielder who scores goals.
"We also need a flexible defender, which we're going to need with the smaller squad.
"But I won't rush, there's no point in doing that."
Although he has been on holiday for a chunk of June, Holdsworth has still been busy trying to add to his five acquisitions so far.
Holdsworth said: "I had someone lined up as the defender I was looking for but he proved too expensive, so I had to pull out."

Reading this board you would think we were french.white flag or what.
We are building a quality squad quietly.
BACK FOUR; Silk,Foster.Smith,Samwith,Garner,Naylor
Strikers are Duffy and Gregory at present and we have several targets. If we get the right men up front we have a cracking squad and will be a force to be reckoned with.Gregory by the way has been very impressive in training and by all accounts could fill Speightys boots easily without any disruptive influence. My tip as one to look out for.
We are just taking our time to choose the right strikers as we do realise how important for our season this is going to be.Keep the faith fellas we could be the dark horses this season.
