Loan signing Tomi Ameobi has returned to Doncaster Rovers following the end of his one-month spell at Field Mill. His loan ran out after Saturday's postponed game at Cambridge United.

mansfieldtown.net reports that David Holdsworth has taken the decision following the return to fitness of Nathan Arnold and the signing of Scott Gardner.

Ameobi started just one game for Mansfield.

"Tomi has done a great job for us but we won't be extending his loan due to Nathan Arnold now being fit and with Scott Gardner also being able to play down the right hand side," Mansfield boss David Holdsworth told the club's official website. "He has come from a great club at Doncaster and they are great people there. We would like to thank him for all his efforts and hard work. He has been part of the equation which has led to our unbeaten run."
