SSA STATEMENT ON BATCHELOR

SSA are absolutely dismayed by the current situation at Field Mill. Just when we thought the club could not get any lower, in walks John Batchelor, who after ruining one football club has now decided to have a go at another. Batchelor's record stands before him, his comments over the past few days that fans don't matter is testament to the sort of owner he would be and echo those views of the current owner Keith Haslam. Suggestions that we would change our name to Harchester United are absolutely preposterous and we will be making a strong representation to Sky that they do not allow their company to be dragged into this mess. We are completely opposed to the involvement of John Batchelor with Mansfield Town Football Club and will vociferously oppose him should Booth and Haslam decide to sell to him. We will issue a further statement as this saga develops. |
