TONIGHT'S friendly game between Mansfield Town and Leicester City has been called off because of the bad weather.
The Field Mill pitch was waterlogged after heavy afternoon rain.

At an inspection a couple of hours before kick-off, the referee deemed the pitch unplayable.

The match was due to be the club's first major friendly of the pre season.

Stags boss Billy Dearden admitted: "I was disappointed as it will affect my planning. But it's been raining all day so what can you do?

"Some of the players may not have to play a bit longer than expected at Belper on Monday night and I will also look at getting another game behind closed doors for Tuesday or Wednesday next week."
