CHAD FIXTURES PROBLEM RESOLVED

Fixtures in Chad as Stags add third new face
CHAD wensite, 19 June 2007

MANSFIELD Town's 2007/08 fixture list WILL be published in the Chad tomorrow.
Problems surrounding their publication were resolved yesterday and they will be in tomorrow's edition.

Stags boss Billy Dearden has made his latest summer signing with the capture of experienced Hudersfield Town central defender Martin McIntosh.

Dearden travelled to Huddersfield on the last day of last season to watch McIntosh (36) and his striker team mate John McAliskey who has already signed for the Stags.

No-nonsense defender McIntosh is seen as a straight replacement for the retired Jon Olav Hjelde and probably ends Mansfield's interest in the towering Ben Futcher at Peterborough United.

A former Scotland B international, 6ft 2ins McIntosh has played several Scottish clubs - St Mirren, Clydebank, Hamilton Academical and Hibernian - as well as Stockport County, Rotherham United and Huddersfield, netting 50 goals in almost 500 games.

Stags fought off competition from two other clubs to sign him on a one-year contract with an option on a further year.
