It is an audacious enterprise considering the two clubs are locked together in a fight for survival in the Football League and Hamshaw is widely regarded as Stockport's star performer. But the former Sheffield Wednesday player will be eager to move his career back up a gear, putting pressure on County's desire to keep him.
