CHAD WEBSITE, 22 December 2005

MANSFIELD Town's ticket allocation for the FA Cup third round tie at Newcastle United will be 5,000.
United's away end only holds 3,000 but after negotiations with the Premiership giants, Stags have managed to secure another 2,000 tickets in a home stand which will be segregated off.
However, Stags have had to purchase the tickets in advance - there is no sale or return on them.
The tickets are already on sale to season ticket holders and anyone with a voucher from the Peterborough game can buy them next week until 5pm on the Friday.
Those remaining will go on open sale from 9am on Monday, 2nd January.

mansfieldtown.net:
After negotiations with Newcastle United we have been able to up our allocation from the initial 3000 to a maximum 5000 if the club agree to pay for them as oppose to the normal sale or return scheme that tickets are normally allocated to.

As a show of good faith Mansfield Town have agreed to pay for the tickets in the hope that all fans wishing to travel to watch the Newcastle game can now get a ticket.

The original selling process is in place with Season Ticket holders being able to buy their tickets up to 5.00pm today (Thursday 22 December). Supporters who have a ticket form the Peterborough game may purchase their Newcastle tickets from 9.00am Tuesday 27 December until 5.00pm Friday 30th December.

The remainder of tickets will be on open sale from Monday 2 January 2006 on a first come first served basis.

We will endeavour to keep everybody posted as to how tickets are selling through all media available (Website, supporters message boards, Radio Mansfield etc)
