SAMMY TO RETURN

Other than a brief appearance towards the end of last season, it's been quite some time since we have seen our beloved Stag dancing on the sidelines during home games. In fact it was 05 May 2001 when old Sammy last graced us with his presence at Field Mill, the last home game of the season which saw the Stags defeat Scunthorpe United 1 - 0.
Well, all will be changing this season, because as we march proudly into Division 2, Thanks to his Sponsor for 2002/03, Pizza Hut Uk, Sammy is coming out of his long hibernation and will be strutting his stuff on the Field Mill turf at all the seasons home ixtures and special presentation days. This season marks the first promotion of the Stags in ten years, and to mark this auspicious occasion Sammy has dropped a few pounds and will be showing his new streamlined body proudly wearing the new strip which is being especially made for his slightly unusal frame. We are currently looking for a person to play the part of 'Sammy Stag' on match days. The position is open to applications from males / females aged 18 and over.
