EATON TARGET IS EARLY START
Evening Post, 21 April 2005 Adam Eaton hopes to be playing for Mansfield again at the beginning of next season. The full-back has had groin surgery which he hopes will end an 18-month period dominated by injuries. His future as a Stags player was in doubt, but the operation - similar to the procedure which Liverpool's Steven Gerrard underwent - appears to have rescued his chances of playing for the Stags again. The 24-year-old has been told he can return to full training in eight weeks. "The operation was done by a groin specialist and was fairly straightforward," said Eaton. "When I spoke to him before the operation and explained the pain I was getting, he knew what he needed to do." |
