17th February 2005 22:45

SkySports.com:

Scunthorpe United have signed experienced midfielder Wayne Corden from Mansfield Town.
Corden had recently lost his place in the Mansfield team, and following talks with boss Carlton Palmer it was agreed that he was free to leave the club.
The Iron's manager Brian Laws moved quickly to tie up a deal with the 29-year-old who believes his arrival can spark a promotion charge at Glanford Park.
"I'm delighted to have signed and hope to be part of a promotion campaign here at Scunthorpe," Corden told the club's official website.
"I tasted promotion at Mansfield and it certainly is a feeling I hope to have again here at Scunthorpe."
