10:30 - 08 January 2004 Meanwhile, there has been a snag in negotiations to keep impressive teenager Alex Baptiste at the club for an additional loan spell. Baptiste was due to go back to Mansfield after Saturday's game but the Stags indicated to Gee on Friday that they may allow him to stay for a further month. However, Tamworth have heard nothing since. "They thought it was good experience for him and Alex had said he would like to stay," Gee said. "But Mansfield had two men sent off last Saturday and I hope that doesn't stop the deal. I will try to speak to them again this week. It is a fingers crossed situation." |
