Karl Munroe then upended the same livewire forward to allow Liam Lawrence to score from the spot. It was hard on Macclesfield, who had seen Matthew Titpon crash a fierce drive against the foot of the post moments after the break. Macclesfield had carried a 2-1 lead into the break, cancelling out Dave Artell's seventh minute free header with a Tipton free kick that arrowed into the far corner and John Miles' clinical finish.
