Another one who doesn’t like people expressing opinions.

Anyway like I said, we can definitely do better than a 32 year old who has played 20 times in years.

In your opinion

I see absolutely no harm in the manager taking a look at him, players do recover from injuries and whilst I wasn't a particularly big fan of his when he was here, he has played at a good level since leaving us. We definitely lacked creativity in midfield last season and Coke has always been excellent on the ball.

He was a good skilful player. Intelligent on the ball. I can’t comment on him these days though.
Didn’t he leave us a bit unprofessionally ?

He made some comment about how 'white' Mansfield was, not sure it what context it was meant, but in % terms he wasn't wrong. Did make me chuckle when he moved to Motherwell which is considerably whiter than Mansfield.

Regarding Coke (the player not the much loved recreational stimulant) I'd say take him to Portugal, see what he's got left in the tank. We know he has ability, it's about fitness and desire. If Flip-flop fancies giving him an incentive based contract I don't see the issue.

Although I'd have like to have thought Digby would do an equal job but in a more diverse way.

No Stags deal for Coke as Atkinson comes off transfer list
chad.co.uk, by JOHN LOMAS, Wednesday 04 July 2018

Mansfield Town will not be pursuing signing ex-Stag Giles Coke after fellow midfielder Will Atkinson was taken off the club’s transfer list. Coke had been back at the club training as he also sought to come back from long term injury problems.

But manager David Flitcroft revealed that fellow midfielder Will Atkinson was no longer on the transfer list after a heart-to-heart chat and that left the club unable to offer anything to Coke. The manager said: “Giles is someone I have admired for a long time as a person and a player.

“He got a call from another League Two club who were in a position to probably do something with him. “It was the right thing to do. He was honest with me and I was honest with him.

We now have Atkinson back in the fokd, not sure there is room for another unless those still on the transfer list are dispatched.

2 year deal for a guy who’s played about 10 games in 4 years. Best agent
