Pre season friendlies

Postby Stoney » Fri May 11, 2018 7:02 pm

They've been leaked by mistake by the looks of it. There's a video on Facebook and you can see on Flitcrofts whiteboard dates with fixtures on.

Derby County 17th June
Sheff United 21st June
Rotherham 28th June

Maybe those 4 are 1st team friendlies. Although considering he has a youth XI on his board maybe it's youth fixtures

Very interesting comments about last seasons pre-season towards the end though. In fairness probably explains the slow start we had.

I was half expecting him to get his guitar out. A friend first, a boss second and probably an entertainer third. A career at Wernham-Hogg paper merchants beckons if he doesn’t make the grade here.
The Stags are for life, not just for cup finals. (or Liverpool).

Me too, but I hope he doesn't overtrain them.

He obviously sees potential in CJ and Mal.

They clearly haven't all been arranged yet as only 4 are on the board.

I too like him, I like how he comes over, no big time charlie but I think he has a clear plan of how he wants us to play and I suspect we will be better to watch next season than we have for years. I just hope he gets decent results early on otherwise the vultures will be out in force. Some good pre-season games and I am glad he thinks so highly of CJ, I think we have potentially a club record sale on our hands if handled rightly and if he has a decent start to the season. Pace kills at all levels, he has it, a lot of the other stuff can be coached. Benning and CJ would start every game for me.
