Great win yesterday for the Bees, keeping the pressure on the Sheep fiddlers.

Great news. Graham Westley was doing a terrible job. Barnet need to keep the pressure on the Spireites just in case Grimsby make a mess of it.

Statistically, Barnet have got the easiest run-in of any team in League 2. Of their 8 remaining games, 4 of them are against the 4 teams immediately above them (3 of them at home), and 2 more games are against 2 of the next 4.

Apparently Westley was on the phone to the Stevenage chairman asking for some tickets for the next game and...

Tough start away at the Greatest Team In The Universe but need to beat Crewe at home afterwards.

Barnet also have home games against FGR, Newport and the Spireites and away games against Stevenage, Grimsby and Morecambe.

Tony Kleanthous explains why he has made four managrerial changes in a season. A very detailed and honest account of his thinking during the season and why he made the managerial appointments and changes. Martin Allen is the last throw of the dice. I still don't like him though due to his connections with a certain former Labour MP.

6 minute address by Martin Allen to the fans. Worth a watch (it is free, but you have to register on the Barnet site)

Amazed that Barnet had around 40 players and even more non-contract players and trialists.

Martin Allen has done the right thing to trim the squad down to 20 and build a bunker mentality. Paul Cox did the same thing in our promotion winning season in 2012-2013 and when we could not sign more players in 2013-2014. The good honest boys stepped up to the plate and came to the rescue.

Feel a bit sorry for Simeon Akinola who would have joined Lincoln City in August on transfer deadline day but his transfer papers were not received by the FA/EFL in time.

I don't like Allen at all, and he's not that great a manager - but for them, in their position with 8 games left, with his style, and with his history at the club, there's literally not a better manager that they could have appointed for the last 8 games.

Thank God he’s back though. Suggested at the end of last season he would quit his match reports
