as i say maths isnt my subject :/

If all the other teams have 7 points more than Chesterfield, we beat them, all the other teams lose their games that day, and Chesterfield have 3 games left to play after us, the other teams still have 7 points more, with Chesterfield having the potential to get 9 points.

You don't lose points by losing a game, you just don't gain any!

Grimsby vs Barnet could be the other interesting game on 14th April, depending on how they both get on before then, in terms of who we want to stick the boot into Chesterfield.

Other teams at the bottom could also be making us happy both ways:

Luton Town vs Crewe Alexandra
Yeovil Town vs Wycombe Wanderers

Port Vale are struggling and just read their main striker Pope will have to undergo surgery for a hernia problem. They could still go down at the moment 3rd from bottom, 5 points in front of the sheep maters.

Perhaps he already knew he wouldn’t be at Swindon for much longer and would be here so no use getting points on board for a soon to be rival. ;)

Police investigating a coin throwing incident at Chesterfield’s last home game have discovered that the 50p piece that was thrown was in fact a takeover bid.

Chesterfield owner Dave Allen says he did not accept an offer to buy the club before Christmas. Despite club directors Ashley Carson and John Croot, and agent Lucas Cominelli, who represented the interested party, all saying a deal had been agreed, Allen told MP Toby Perkins the offer had never been accepted.

This is just as relevant now as it was back then....

Nothing is going to change unless there are some serious headcases out there with more money than sense.

Possibly need to collect a few more 50p from the big wheel before takeover can take place.

I read that the fan who was taken ill and airlifted to hospital is improving and the initial rumours of his passing thankfully proved to be inaccurate. That’s good news and I hope I speak for all in wishing him a full and fast return to health.

Moving on. They’re six points adrift. They need an immediate change of fortune and promotion form in the last ten games or they are down. Excellent.

Well said Whiffy. I've been very critical of you in the past but this shows you may actually have a decent side and it deserves pointing out. Hope the gentleman gets well soon.
