Keith floated stories of several takeover bids, before selling to a consortium with a massive cuckoo in the nest & on terms that bankrupted the club.

I have a bad feeling Chesterfield will come up smelling of roses.

Interesting Dave Allen is including the ground in the deal. I'd have thought he'd have done a Haslam and separated the assets and charged rent.

I don't think the 10 million covers any shareholders funds reading bob board they think it's sky news latching onto a statement A.C. gave yesterday n it won't happen this side the transfer window

As much as they love to moan about him, he's never been as bad as Haslam was for us. Allen has been keeping them alive by paying all their costs and seems to be genuinely interested in selling. They don't know the struggle. Hopefully this deal doesn't go through, or at least not until the transfer window is over.

I was under the impression the ground was owned by Tesco and leased to the club.

They've dodged a bullet, he's awful, but it does mean they struggled to land even a crap player like him.

I think John Radfords has probably put more into our club than that and did it in the conference.
The ground the land around their grog is worth that 2 fold.
They are going to get a haslam who buys for land not club.

"Chinese investment consortium" (property developers??)

I'd be extremely concerned.

Many of their fans can't wait for this take over to come to fruition. Yet they know very little as to who is involved. Shows how unpopular the current regime is. It may end up a case of better the devil you know. After all DA led them away from a ground that was falling down around them to a nice new stadium, visits to Wembley and a playoff and has continued to put money into the club. Will be interesting to see what happens next.

This takeover by the Chinese, is it the one in the Town Centre or the one that does great spring rolls near Chatsworth?

Maybe it's just a thing to help entice players to sign in the transfer window?

"yeah we're near the bottom now but Chairman Mao is coming next week with millions of yen and he's determined he's going to make it wok..don't worry just sign here...chop chop."

They should hope it's Win One Soon who takes over. I'll get my coat, scarf and gloves and be on my way.

Why would any investor pay 10 mill for a club that will be worth literally half that in 4 months time when they are relegated? Thats even if you believe its worth 10mill at the moment (which it isnt).

By the very fact that their potential new owners are making such a financial howler by spending 10mill on a dead dog like cfc should be ringing alarm bells. If they can make such a financial error, what other financial decisions can they make a mess of? Foreign investment consortiums more regularly go wrong than right. Ask birmingham city what they think. They were doing well under Rowett until the chinese consortium came to the rescue - look at them now.

If this goes through i think itll be a case of 'out of the frying pan and into the fire'.

Add Cardiff City to the above statement.....

Bidding war for the Cheats apparently started.

Dutch/Chilean consortium now interested, headed up by CEO Van de Rama
